Let's get started!

Reward yourself with a good book. That's right — reading is entertaining!

Both intensive and extensive reading are included in the Reading pages. The "Just read it!" program at FCU encourages you to read as many simplified novels as you can. These pages explain why this should help you, show you student examples of novel book reports and give you some vocabulary for writing about novels. Sometimes we use different words to write about literature than we use when we talk about movies. Another page introduces you to one simplified reader, "Strangers on a Train" by previewing the movie. The news archive provides some intensive reading. When you don't know a word, mouse over it for a definition, or use the e-dictionary to the right of the page.
