Dealings with Drug Dealers

A strong man with big shoulders and arms dragged and pushed Matt into a dark alley. When the youth pulled out a blade to defend himself, his attacker pulled a gun on him. He bound the youth with a rope and informed him that he would watch his girlfriend die first.

“Look up,” he said.

When Matt looked up, he saw his girlfriend hanging over the edge of the roof of a building.

“Stop!” the young man cried out. “She has nothing to do with this!"

“I know. She is innocent, but you are guilty! No one gets away with stealing drugs, especially not from me! Just tell us where you hid the drugs, and your girlfriend goes free,” the big man said.

Matt took too long to respond, so the drug dealer motioned with his hand to his partner on the roof. The partner pushed the girl further over the edge. She screamed.

“No!” Matt yelled. “Let her go! I’ll tell you everything.”

The drug dealer raised his eyebrow, waiting for more information.

“The drugs are in a locker at the train station.”

“Are you absolutely sure?” the dealer asked.

“Yes, yes!”

“What is the combination of the lock?”

“It’s 41-13-…” He paused.

The drug dealer motioned to his partner and the girlfriend screamed again as she was pushed further over the building’s edge.

“26!” screamed the young man.

The drug dealer made a phone call on his cell phone. “41-13-26…good,” he said. Matt sighed.

Then the drug dealer motioned once again to his partner. As Matt looked up, his girlfriend fell to the street below with a thud. The drug dealer immediately turned to Matt and thrust the blade of Matt’s own knife into his chest.

“No witnesses,” he said, and walked away.

The police came and marked a chalk line around the exact place where each body was. They blocked off the crime scene and forbade the general public to go into that area. They inquired around about the events of the evening before, but they had many gaps in their ideas about what had happened. Some of their ideas were nonsense. Finally, they called in a special detective to crack the murder mystery.

“The young man and woman met with very cruel deaths. No one deserves to be treated like that. We will find the criminal,” they promised. But so far, no one has been arrested or accused of the murder.
